Our 501 (c) (3) charity is very excited to be partnering with the Washington, DC Police Foundation whose entire mission is dedicated towards making Washington, DC a safer place to live, work and visit for everyone. Paying It Forward (Always)
We believe we each have an obligation to help others, and we all practice that as a core value in our professional and personal lives. We started a 501(c) (3) not for profit organization (www.pwporg.org) to provide educational resources for kids in the form of books and videos, initially related to active shooter awareness and prevention, and pivoted by need to develop resources related to COVID-19. Simple things can make a world of difference especially to kids, and especially when they know they have a voice and an opinion which matters. Thank you to our partners and advocates, paying it forward, always.
The Importance of PPE
My name is Megan and I am an active graduate student pursuing my Masters Degree in Forensic Psycholgy a part of my driving desire to make the world a better place. When COVID-19 started I was working part-time in a restaurant, which quickly shut down due to the as yet, unknown dangers of passing and contracting the COVID virus. When the restaurant closed, I decided not to file for unemployment, but rather to see how I could get involved and help to contribute in some way. That opportunity, perhaps not as publicly thought about as essential was in a large grocery chain. The store had all of the standard COVID safety protocols in place and all staff were required as part of their employment to comply, including the consistent use of PPE.
